I am writing this a week after the 2026 Disability and the Church conference that happened in Washington D.C. The conference talks about how the Church can become more accessible via evangelism, service, discipleship, and worship for people with developmental, physical, and neurological disabilities as well as those with mental health (or hidden disabilities).
While I was there, I gave two different presentations at workshops. Unfortunately, I did not have the capacity or bandwidth to record anything, but in the coming weeks, I’ll share a bit about my presentations based off of previous articles and resources we created here as well as new infographics made for this conference. One of the big things they announced at this conference is that they want to make something that is a little bit closer to churches between the annual conferences. So they announced a Disability and the Church tour that will start this fall in Cleveland and hit four different cities across the United States. I highly encourage you to attend (and if you join the Cleveland one, I can guarantee we could meet up!)
