Here’s Our Purpose [Video]

The purpose of this channel goes beyond just creating content. We share why this website is important and what it means to us.

Some have a personal experience with mental illness or substance misuse, whether themselves or loved ones struggling with severe mental illness that leads them into some calling with mental health, including counselors. Myself, I have found this to be more of a calling from God to focus on those who are hurting.

I find the command that our faith serve widows and orphans as a personal command:

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

James 1:27 (NIV)

Further, Jesus’ parable of the talents also hits home where I have been truly given much, I am expected to give much:

But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

Luke 12:48 (NIV)

My prayers, my conversations, my community, and my actions have all been oriented to service and compassion, therefore my outpouring should be of the same.
