If you have not yet noticed, we have released a new eBook now available to the public. We are so happy with the response that people have been giving for this book as it was a personal project that we took three days to complete the whole thing for start to finish.
The concept of the ebook came from many conversations of clients wanting to integrate faith into the counseling session or pastors to teach coping skills. Yet, there were no practical resources out there. There certainly are Christian biographical and academic books on topics like mindfulness or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with faith integration but nothing that would immediately apply for an individual who did not have the luxury to sit down to read a whole book.
We hope that it is a blessing to you personally. We also know that Christian counselors can use this within their clinical context if they want to incorporate their faith in sessions for clients. Finally, pastors who want to better make use of mental health resources, you can use this as well, including in small groups. For those who have not yet checked it out, here’s the description of the book.
We believe in the concept of self-care, not only for clients in a counseling session, but for all people, including Christians. It’s not a quick fix or a selfish act. Instead, self-care is about stewardship, discipline, and boundaries to not only address thoughts and emotions internally, but to deepen your faith commitment with God and relationship with Him.
And while it is very important, we know that many people do not know how to do it well. So we created a list of self-care techniques and skills you can do to improve for yourself. Along with that, we even give you a way to assess your current self-care, how to identify ways to improve it that works for you, and next steps to make the changes last.
