Ministry is hard. Burnout is real. Caring for individuals and families and shepherding the flock is an around-the-clock job. Incorporating mental health into the topic of faith can also be difficult. Serving those who struggle with mental illness is an ever-evolving process. Thrive & Cultivate wants to address all of that.
Plus, I will be one of the keynote speakers, speaking on “How Pastors Can Respond To Depression.” Come check out my presentation and the rest of the presentations by signing up here.
The website said, “Born out of the challenges faced by pastors and leaders during the height of the pandemic, Thrive & Cultivate was created to respond to the growing need for mental health support, self-care resources, and trauma healing within the Christian community.” For the past three years, they have offered a summit of speakers on various topics of depression, trauma healing, self-care, suicide prevention, mental health within the family, building a healthy church culture, and more.
The summit hopes to empower Christian leaders through ministry leaders and mental health professionals to walk alongside the millions of people struggling with mental illness. The hope is to build resilience, further emotional well-being, and bring awareness.
Taking care of ourselves is essential for sustaining our ability to serve others. By prioritizing our well-being, we are better equipped to continue making a meaningful impact in our communities. Let this be an opportunity for you to invest in yourself to serve better. Maybe bring your whole church staff or counseling practice to do a little self-care and soul care. Or, if you have an army of volunteers, encourage them to join in and grow.
If you join for the two summit days, you can get free access to these resources exclusively from June 17 at 9 AM ET to June 18 at 11:59 PM ET. This includes the keynote speakers and access to more than 130+ other sessions from previous summit presenters. If you want to access all year for ongoing training and support and to be able to watch every video in the catalog (something you won’t be able to do in two days), you can become a member for $279.
