We talk about the Church
TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope & finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, & suicide. Originally started simply as the founder Jamie Tworkowski wanting to save the life of his friend who struggled with addiction and suicide, so did a fundraiser to help her get into treatment. Here’s their story.
Now the organization has raised over $2 million to get people into treatment and continue to spread awareness and point people to resources available. Churches literally can sign up to partner with them simply by hosting them and sharing what the organization is about, it’s that easy.
A video posted on their YouTube channel is a great short film with all of the emotions the ministry holds without words being said. It’s about community, it’s about support, it’s about helping people one person at a time. And it can all be done in the hope of Jesus’ name. Redemption can happen.
I’ll encourage you to give this your full attention, it is the best ten minutes of reflection and prayer you can offer yourself and your community today. Then in the comments, share what resources you know for suicide prevention that needs

I came to this site(totally a God thing) through researching charities to give to on Amazon. My brother took his own life last December and I wanted to give to a faith based charity that helps combat the stigmas attached to mental illness and addiction. My brother lost his battle, so if I can help someone to get the help needed and be furnished with needed resources, I will do what I can to help. Not only will I donate, but I will be in prayer that God works through this ministry for his glory. I do wish you would put a charity wish list up for those who would like to help that way!
