We love our friends over at Grace Alliance and so when they put out a video that talks about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy’s negative thoughts and how it relates to to spirituality with God, we knew we had to share it. Go check out a great talk by Joe Padilla on how these two things integrate and how pastors and therapists can work with the whole person and not just something spiritual or cognitive/emotional.

Jeremy Smith is a licensed professional clinical counselor, supervisor, and Co-occurring program coordinator at an Ohio community mental health center for seven years. Before this, he worked in Colorado as a Co-Occurring counselor for three years as well as helped create an inpatient treatment center specifically for those who struggle with opioid dependency. Before clinical counseling, Jeremy was a staff person for Youth for Christ for 8 years in Ohio's Campus Life and in Colorado with YFCMilitary at the Air Force Academy. He has his Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary and Masters in Family Ministry from Winebrenner Theological Seminary.
